Robin Adlam, founder and Managing Director
Robin completed a 32-year career in the RAF as a fighter pilot, senior executive officer and diplomat. His flying career involved 6 tours of duty as a pilot on the Harrier jet and an exchange tour with the USN flying FA18s from the USS Lincoln.
Although a qualified airline pilot, Robin decided to put his second Masters to good use in the oil industry where he has developed training courses based on his leadership experience and training background. The training has been centered around an aviation concept called Crew Resource Management (CRM) which has been adopted by the global Oil and Gas industry as the team enhancing protocol for off-shore workers. Robin authored an e-learning on-line CRM packaged for the International Well Control Forum (IWCF)http://www.iwcf.org/programmes/wocrm/ and has spoken at multiple conferences on the effectiveness of CRM within the off-shore work environment. He has developed and runs a highly successful CRM-centered Driller Development Program using immersive simulation for a major Oil Drilling company and regularly advises the IWCF on CRM based subjects. Robin has also developed a train the trainer course for the development of future simulator instructors.
